Garth Douglas

Singer/songwriter Garth Douglas is a songwriter and musician. He has twiddled his thumbs in a dozen odd bands as a performer, side-man, front-man and solo artist. He has spent 30 years crafting songs about philosophy, love, experiences and along the way has written some pretty serious stuff as well. The Garth Douglas Band (he wanted to call it something else) is his way of putting the songs out the way hed like to hear them. Garth is a film/ television/ radio producer who lives in Toronto, still dabbles in other musical forms and genres and just loves to play.

Jeff Cohen (lead guitar)

Jeff Cohen is a Montreal native with a wealth of musical experience and eclectic tastes.  A graduate of the University of Western Ontario’s faculty of music, Jeff plays electric guitar with the GDB and is also a member of the acoustic pub band, The Don Valley Boys.

By day, Jeff is a computer consultant at the University of Michigan and runs his own Toronto based consulting company.

Pete Leblanc (Bass)

The GDB is pleased to have the bass stylings of Peter for the past 2 years.  A multi-instrumentalist, Peter's primary instrument is bass and fretless bass, but he also dabbles in electric and acoustic guitars, keyboards and recently the mandolin.  A small digital home studio keeps him busy when he is not gigging with other artists.  Over the years Peter has performed a wide variety of music in many bands.  At the University of Guelph Peter formed the Musicians Guild…a collective to organize like minded musicians... which resulted in performing a variety of folk, rock and jazz night functions with many musicians.  This led to involvement with Guelph based "RUM RUNNER" (island reggae), 8 piece rock/blues horn band "Perfect Strangers",  and a long stunt with the 6 piece "THE REVERBS"  with Tannis Slimmon and Lewis Melville featuring the release "Not Enough Room.

Peter performed in the Cambridge based 5 piece band "TYRO" which also had an EP release.  For almost 10 years, Peter performed in the new age jazz trio "FLIGHT 019" along with appearances and other gigs with Toronto session keyboardist John Ebata.  Peter has written many original songs and composed and recorded the music for a short film "The Devil" which was in the Toronto Short Film Festival.  In the last five years Peter has performed with a number of artists including "AMC (AMPLIFIED MIDLIFE CRISIS") featuring the guitar wizardry and vocal stylings of Alan Dollar and Tony Giovinazzo, the keyboard of Ian Cook with Pat Iniglis on Digital Drums  performing Classic Rock at  corporate events throughout Ontario.

While not out on tour with Canadian and International performers such as Colin Hay of Men at Work or Ashley Macisaac, both AMC and GDB are pleased to have the assistance of Mark Fortuna with sound reinforcement and and recording.  Peter is also playing mandolin and other stringed instruments in the KEEWATIN STRING BAND (also with Garth Douglas) with it's eclectic brand of bluegrass and folk musicians.

Originally from Guelph, (when not on the golf course, the tennis courts or the ski slopes) Peter spends his time relaxing and renovating his North Toronto home, and has found a community of like minded musical friends.  During the day, Peter hones his skills as a Landscape Architect and Planner as a Project Manager with a major land development company.
